Adventure Is Out There
You might remember a model call that I ran during the fall of 2022. I had an idea that I wanted to test and see if it was something that I would enjoy doing and be able to offer clients during the warm months. Since moving to the coast I’ve had so many women ask if I do beach boudoir sessions. At first I wasn’t really into it. The luxury boudoir experience that I am able to give my clients is something that I’m super proud of and don’t want to compromise it. The idea of doing an incredibly vulnerable shoot with an audience made me a little nervous, but it was something that had been in the back of my mind for about a year.
Enter May 2022, when we decided we were tired of waiting for an adventure to present itself so we decided to create our own. We took a leap and bought Proud Mary, a jetboat that we have taken up and down the NC coast. Being able to access the barrier islands around the Crystal Coast opened up a whole new experience that I’m super stoked to offer clients. Sessions will be held weekdays and will take longer than normal. They will also start later in the day as we will be planning around golden hour. You’ll still come to the studio to get professional hair and makeup, have some mimosas, pick from the client closet, and then we’ll head to the boat ramp and go island hopping. There will be an additional fee for adventure sessions, spots will be limited, and they will only be held weeknights when the island traffic is a lot less than weekends. This helps with privacy and gives us more time to shoot because the beaches won’t be packed.
Adventure sessions won’t start until April of 2023, but booking will open in March. They will run until appx late September of 2023, it will just depend on the weather and water temps.
