Summer sessions are in full swing! April just turned 50 and decided to treat herself to a boudoir session! I know what you’re thinking- there’s no way this insanely beautiful woman is 50 years old. Not only is she absolutely stunning, she has the personality to match. I was so excited to work with her and even more excited to show her the finished result! Check out some of our faves below!

Why Andrea King Photography?

I saw this amazing lady that was very inspiring in all her posts about lifting women up and thought she is the one. 

Why Boudoir Photography?

My mother and sister both have done this, so I figured why not.

What made you take the jump to invest in yourself?

I have never had any self esteem. When my husband left me I really had issues. I have spent the past year relearning that I am not the problem and I decided that with my 50th birthday I would celebrate the birth of the new me. 

How did you feel before the session vs after it wrapped?

I was nervous but excited before. Andrea has a way of making you feel so comfortable in your own skin. By the end we were both laughing so much it was hard to keep a serious face. 

What was your reaction to your images during your reveal?

OMG. They were all so amazing. She is a true artist. I cannot believe how she captured me looking so amazingly sexy. 

If you could say one thing to the women who are too scared to book a boudoir experience what would it be?

Every woman deserves to be a queen. This experience gives you that kind of treatment. It was worth every penny spent.

I’m proud of a lot of things that I have accomplished in my life, but one of the things I am most proud of is the space I have created for women to be vulnerable and let their guard down. When a woman comes for her reveal and tells me how empowered, confident, and beautiful she feels after our session my heart just wants to explode with happiness. Empowered women empower women, so let’s spread that mindset like glitter and make it stick to everything.
