What should you wear?

The number one thing I get asked when it comes to client q’s is what do you bring/wear/buy? For those of you who have booked with me you know I have a pretty nice client closet for you guys to use. I’m constantly updating pieces for different body types and putting them in my closet. I love doing this because I love spoiling my ladies and making them feel like a million bucks. It’s one of the things that brings me total joy, because I know how hard lingerie shopping can be. You don’t have the time, you hate dressing rooms, the lights aren’t flattering, and what sizes are best for you is always a question! So I try to save you the time, energy, and stress and let you just come shop my closet!

But I still have clients who want to purchase something for their session so they can wear it again, and I absolutely love that. If it makes you feel like a badass hottie then do it! I’m gonna slap some images of my favorite pieces below, but first I’m going to tell you what gets worn the most.

Body suits, bodysuits, bodysuits. NOT nightgowns! Gowns/dresses make everyone’s hips look wide, so don’t go for those. Bodysuits are for everyone. They have sheer ones, patterned ones, ones with underwire, ones with deep v cuts to show your goodies, they have some that have that high hip cut, and some that don’t. But really, everyone looks good in a bodysuit.

Three piece sets! Bra, garter, panty. Simple and classic. They comes in every single color and pattern known to man. I always suggest getting these things somewhere you can choose your sizes on all 3. Getting a medium because you think that will fit you isn’t always the best. I know that my butt is way bigger than my boobs, so I tend to buy these somewhere like VS or Honey Birdette where I can choose.

White tank tops. So many options here! Super versatile and you can pick them up at Walmart in the men’s section for cheap. You want those from there, they’re more see through than other places and are amazing for wet sets!

One of my clients reminded me of how good booking a shoot can be for your mental health. I’m not talking about seeing the final result, I’m talking about the process we go through leading up to the shoot. Getting your hair done, getting your nails done, or getting a bikini wax can simply transform your mood and make you feel like a woman again. It’s a simple indulgence in self care that we overlook because most of the time our focus is on the shoot as well. I know that in my every day life I wear a messy bun and gym shorts almost every day. You can’t pour from an empty cup so make sure you’re doing something to refill yours. 💕

I generally disappear from all aspects of life during this time of year. I’d rather be floating in the ocean and spending time with my boys than staring at my screen. But I feel like I still need to say this- ladies- put on your bathing suit and participate in life. Go swim in the ocean, lay out by the pool, take your littles to the splash pad. Stop tugging and hiding because you are worried what people think about you in a bathing suit. In 10 years your people will not remember what your hair was like, what type of bathing suit you had on, or what the number on the scale was. They are going to remember the laughter, the joy, and fun that you had together. You’re going to miss making memories with the people who love you just the way you are because you’re worried about people who you don’t even know. So just stop it. Put on your swimsuit and have fun, go running as fast as you can into those waves. Life is too short to do anything but that. 🫶🏻
