A little over a month ago (yes, I am VERY behind on my blogging) I got a call at 7:30 in the morning from a photographer friend of mine who was very sick. She had a wedding booked that day and needed someone to cover for her, so I said I would do it and grabbed my gear and hustled to meet the bride.
The weather that day was forecasted for rain and clouds, and I knew Ashely wanted her first look and formal photos to be taken outside at a local park. Luckily the clouds passed right over us and not a drop of rain fell on us that day. We ended up with some beautiful shots, and a lot of extra time to goof off and take some pictures in addition to the family and bridal party formals.
Their ceremony and reception was held at a local Methodist Church, and because they had a first look the time between the ceremony and reception was very short and flowed so smoothly. The guests and bridal party danced the night away after some amazing toasts were said, and two of the most awesome cakes I have ever seen or tasted were cut. The baker from Charlie’s Sweet and Treats made the grooms cake in the shape of a soccer uniform shirt with chocolate cake and peanut butter icing. It was so good, I still have dreams about it!
The couple had a glow stick sendoff and honeymooned at the Gulf Shores. Congrats Nick and Ashley! It was so nice to work with you guys and I am glad I was able to help out!
